What research is saying about humic acid.

You want the product you’re about to invest in to be the best for your land. You want results and you want them to be proven. Seems pretty simple, right?

Humic Matter Applied Research

When you’re choosing agricultural products, such as soil additives, you want to ensure that they’ve been meticulously tested, and that there’s significant information to back the product’s claims.

Well, you’d be amazed at the amount of products that haven’t been thoroughly tested or lay claim to things that can’t be delivered. At Black Earth, we stand behind our products 100%. Our years of applied research have allowed us to deliver the most highly effective and beneficial soil additives, with each and every one of our dry agricultural products containing at least 80% humic acid. Our products are tested for safety, are 100% organic and are completely beneficial to the environment.

Black Earth Humic Product Safety

Since its formation in 1998, Black Earth has continuously performed applied research and horticultural studies on its own products. We’ve also done this in conjunction with other organizations and soil testing labs, in order to show the benefits of humic substances contained in humic materials.

Our multiple research projects have determined that not only are our products vital to improving soil texture and water retention, but that humic substances provide available carbon to microorganisms and are safe for the environment. Studies have also been performed to ensure that Black Earth Humic was safe when tested for explosibility, as well as toxicity.

Black Earth Applied Research Studies

Black Earth takes pride in creating products that have a unique ability to bind nutrients in soil, a process that makes nutrients more available to plants and soil microorganisms, thereby promoting their growth. Humic substances like Black Earth Humalite repeatedly show an ability to improve soil condition, texture and the capacity of soil to hold water, all of which are integral to the crop-growing process.

Through our rigorous applied research, we’ve tested a variety of crops, including tomatoes, onions, apples, grapes, blueberries, corn, soybeans, potatoes, alfalfa, canola, and barley. What we’ve discovered is that Black Earth products provide consistently beneficial results. Through the use of our products, we’ve witnessed the health of crops, plants, fruits and vegetables all improving.

In the case of blueberries, the results found that Black Earth was effective in increasing phosphorus uptake on a problem soil, resulting in increased top growth. Black Earth may actually improve soil watering holding capacity for grapes, and it provided a positive economic yield response for corn and potatoes. The tests also showed that Black Earth was an effective tool for increasing the efficiency of phosphorus in growing spinach.

Is Black Earth Right for you?
