Products have been developed to improve the efficiency of drilling muds. BlackEarth Humalite is an excellent fluid loss and rheology control additive in water-based drilling muds:
- enhances filtration control;
- improves filter cake quality;
- is an excellent thinner (pH > 9.0); and,
- has temperature stability at + 200º C.
Products under development include caustized humalite and amine treated humalite for water and soil soluble based drilling mud additives, respectively.
